Your September Moon Magick Playbook
The moon isn't just a celestial body—It’s a celebrity! (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) it's a living part of ancient rites of our ancestors. And, yes, I suppose that includes one’s in-laws. But seriously—without getting too serious-- let's treat September’s moon phases as a personal playbook for our magickal work. I’ll show you the rules of esoteric tradition, and then we’ll break clean from the old ways using our evolved magick that we call psionics. But, traditional stuff first! [Yawn.] (Get some caffeine brewing!)
September 7th: Full Moon Eclipse. This isn't your average Full Moon. Known as the Harvest Moon, it brings with it a total lunar eclipse, a cosmic wild card that demands surrender, not force. (I know. I’m not a fan. Insert “chill’n” in place of “surrender” and we’ll cope with tradition.) While the temptation is to manifest and push for what you want, the real power here is in letting go (Dreadful to admit it, but cold logic pays big dividends in the heat of social unrest.) This is a day for shadow work (NOW we’re talk’n!), for releasing old patterns that no longer serve you(and seriously, what doesn’t serve your purpose isn’t worth investing in to begin with!), and for emotional breakthroughs! (Yess. Kind of like granddad’s bowel movement when he discovers what bureaucrats have done with his tax dollars.) Charge your crystals but do it with an intention of gratitude for what you have, not a plea for something new. Pleading for anything is beneath you!
September 14th: The Great Clearing. As the moon begins to wane, its energy becomes a powerful broom. This is your cue for banishing negativity and protection magick. Think of it as a deep clean for your altar and your life. It’s like when you finally decide to throw out that sweater you've been "saving" since high school, only for your soul. What habits, grudges, or thoughts have been holding you back? Use cord-cutting ceremonies to sever those ties and make space for what’s next. You’ve got a clean slate, so what are you waiting for—a written invitation? Get to it!
September 21st: Seeding Your Future. A dark sky under the New Moon is not empty; it’s a blank canvas. This is the perfect time for fresh starts. It's the universe's way of saying, "Okay, showtime, what do you want?" Plant a literal seed in a pot for a prosperity spell, or create a vision board under the night sky to map out new intentions for love and growth. The dark moon protects your intentions until they are ready to sprout. Think of it as your own personal security guard, keeping all the riff-raff (and negative energy) away.
September 29th: Building Momentum. With the First Quarter moon, it’s time to act. This is where you channel the building energy into attraction spells for your career or courage. This phase tests your resolve, so when obstacles appear, see them as a sign that your power is being called upon. Rise to the challenge with focused incantations and a fearless heart. You’ve got this. Unless you don't. But in that case, don't worry, we'll just have to blame it on Mercury and try again next month.
