Contemplating the Lessons of the Runes and Experiences of Headmasters and Rune Sorcerers!
Follow the exercises I’ve laid out in the article ‘Viking Pranayama’ and then proceed to continue your training here on this page. What I want for you to do next is to spend some time after your breathing practice to “listen to the silence for a time.” Wait for any impressions to surface. These impressions could be flashes of runes, vivid images, vague shadows moving around on the inner eyelids (the mind’s inner screen), or sounds, voices, smells, vibrations—even a hunch of some kind. Now, as a matter of course, do not expect to have these impressions. Note that these sensations and various experiences I’ve had can be very common. But so is having a moment of absolutely nothing going on. So, don’t be disappointed if nothing at all happens. This is normal.

Contemplating the Lessons of the Runes and Experiences of Masters
The world we live in is quite demanding. Everything that lives must eat. Hunger is the most primitive and primordial force in this universe. We cannot last long without breathing, as you’ve also experienced for yourself the relationship of meditation and breathing goes without saying. Bills need to be paid. You cannot avoid taxes. Staying in good health is a daily and regular commitment. The gain of monetary wealth is an ongoing pursuit. And it often seems that there is not end in sight. Well, here is a brief roadmap to help you navigate the modern world with ancient wisdom intact and unscathed.
As I’ve stated already: The world you live in is demanding. In fact life exists in the antagonistic state. My friend Troy shares his wisdom by saying “The world is a taker. Never give more than you want.” This is true today, but it was also true in ancient times when Odin the All-Father stated in the Havamal: “[..] better not to sacrifice much or ask for much, for every gift seeks to gain.”
You will need to navigate a demanding world by living and breathing the runes. The following roadmap will help you to get through life with your heart and mind stronger, smarter, and wiser.

You will need to arm yourself with certain runes throughout the course of your entire life. In fact, it is best if you know the entirety of the Elder Futhark and the younger runes as well. But for most purposes, and indeed for most students the Elder Futhark will suffice. The twenty-four rune staves are arranged in sets of eight glyphs per row.

Here are the names of the runes in the three sets:
1st. Fehu, Uruz, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raydho, Kenaz, Gebo, Wunjo.
2nd. Hagalaz, Naudiz, Isa, Jera, Eiwaz, Pertho, Elhaz, Sowilo.
3rd. Tiwaz, Berkano, Ehwaz, Mannaz, Laguz, Ingwaz, Othala, Dagaz.
I realize that money is the first emphasis for freedom, for what good is a thing if it does not grant you power (freedom) in today’s world. However, I personally feel it necessary to begin your communion with the second rune Uruz as an initial starting point for deep self transformation. This is where I started my training in runes. Uruz is the rune you will need to explore and deeply harness the inner will and personal strength.

Fehu is a good rune for pushing out of cycles. Thurisaz is a good rune for breaking the ice and pushing the issue in a pursuit, but it can be a bit too strong for many purposes. A continued practice of Uruz will allow such strength to grow within you to accomplish most feats without resorting to hitting an ant with a sledgehammer. Thurisaz is for all practical purposes that metaphorical sledgehammer. Reserve Thurisaz for the most difficult barriers and obstacles.
Utilizing these runes with psionics can accomplish some feats of biblical proportion and magnitude. Be sure you want the outcome before putting these runes to work with psionics. Special regard here to Thurisaz. In my own experiences Thurisaz has created incredible challenges ranging from vivid brutal or difficult dreams to real life contests of one's inner will and ability to endure. In one case I witnessed Thurisaz unleash the fury of red lightning bringing all manner of incredible natural phenomenon with its arrival on the material plane. So, be mindful of the staves and the forces with which they represent or are aligned.

You will need to meditate with Ansuz for answers in dowsing and divination. As well Ansuz is your go-to glyph for magnetic speech, and could pair very well with a rune for leadership such as Sowilo or Tiwaz.
Likewise you will find the need of ice for stemming power or halting unwanted forces for various purposes. Programming your mind to project the ice-rune is explored in my video course ‘Vril: Fire & Ice’ at https://vrilock.com/shop.
Whatever combination you decide to work with first ensure that you have spent time meditating with each rune individually to learn from each stave. Regular communion with the runes is advisable for the beginner in runes and psionic rune magick.
