You've got a witness. You've attuned it. Now comes the question every operator asks: *where do I set the dials?*
## What Is a Rate?
A rate is the numeric address of your intention on the radionic spectrum. Think of it as tuning a radio: your target is broadcasting on a frequency, and the rate is how you lock onto it. It is not magic numbers — it is resonance made measurable.
## Why the Witness Comes First
No witness, no rate. The rate is meaningless without something to anchor it to. This is why we drilled witnesses and attunement before touching the dials. ## The Stick Point: Your Body as Instrument
The stick point is the moment of contact — the rubbing plate drags, dithers, or "sticks" when the rate resonates. Your nervous system is the readout. Practice calibrating it daily on known rates before trusting it on unknown ones. Tip: Barely touch the stick pad (rubbing plate) with your thumb.)
