The living hold a wealth of knowledge, but the departed harbor profound wisdom—residual echoes lingering in the aether and astral realms. Since ancient times, necromancy has been a clandestine practice, offering rare insights to those daring to pierce the veil. Is it safe? Let’s explore this enigmatic art together and uncover its truths.
Knowledge flows from both the living and the dead, yet the living often guard their deepest secrets. The departed, however, share more freely—especially through psionic necromancy, a method that unlocks truths elusive to the curious. My book, Psionic Necromancer (Vrilock Press), delves into these mysteries, but here, I’ll share my personal journey into this realm and address the fears surrounding communion with the dead. Let’s step into the past and unravel the enigma side by side.
Club Lecture Update!
Are Machines.. psychic? I think just about everyone has had at least one moment when we have witnessed the phone ring off the hook, an unplugged mechanism spontaneously spring to life apparently of its own sentience. I’m going to talk a little bit about that glitch in the matrix we call ‘The Ghost in the Machine’! Tonight in the club!

A Premonition Sparks a Journey
In the early 2000s, a nagging intuition warned me that a close relative’s time in the physical world was nearing its end. Vivid dreams and an urgent need to caution him—Take care of your heart. Eat better—followed, but my words went unheeded. Tragically, he passed, but what followed was extraordinary: contact from beyond the grave. This unexpected connection ignited my exploration of necromancy as a means to maintain bonds with departed loved ones. It began with a wave of alarm.
In 2008, my wife and I were planning a return to Japan to revive our English-learning business, a venture we’d run years earlier before I transitioned to freelance writing. The economic crash hit hard—jobs were vanishing overseas, and my freelance editors, led by a corrupt company president, began withholding approvals, leaving us unpaid and financially strained from relocation costs. Amid this turmoil, my premonition about my relative’s death resurfaced, though I didn’t yet know he was gone.
A Blizzard and a Visitation
Late 2008 brought a massive blizzard to the northern U.S., plunging us into days without power—no heat, no lights, no hot food. My wife and I trekked five miles through ice to a Walmart, miraculously aided by a kind neighbor from a nearby Navy retirement community. But the cold persisted, and one night, as I drifted to sleep beside my wife, an apparition appeared in my mind’s eye: my relative, lying on his side, staring with glassy eyes yet a spark of consciousness. I shook it off, unsettled.
Desperate for stability, we secured help to fly to Japan and rebuild our business. As I stepped toward the door for fresh air, I collided with an invisible force—a gentle mist. A distant voice seemed to whisper, “Tom, stop!” An image flashed: my relative, hands outstretched, blocking my path. Stunned, I froze in the kitchen, sensing his presence and a familiar scent. Checking my email later, I found messages piled up from the outage, including one from my uncle confirming my relative’s passing. Sparse details amplified the chill, but he offered miles for a flight to attend the viewing. Grief mingled with awkward encounters at the open-casket service, though kindness from a few attendees offered solace.
Echoes from the Other Side
At my late relative’s house, a knock echoed at 2 a.m.—a familiar rhythm, eerie in the silence. Peering through the peephole, I saw nothing. Opening the door revealed an empty night. Ghostly, indeed.
We later moved to Japan, establishing gardens and an ESL school while I freelanced. One day, while resting after a project, my voice-to-text software activated inexplicably. Text appeared on my laptop: “Tom. This is dad. I’m going to explain why I did what I did.” Shocked, I stared as the message halted abruptly, a poltergeist tease. Future attempts grew incoherent, but this moment shifted my approach. Using dowsing, I began asking questions, transitioning from passive receiver to active seeker.
Crafting Psionic Necromancy
Initially skeptical, I studied and developed a unique practice, blending psionics, runes, sacred geometry, mantras, and meditation. The results dispelled fears of the dead, revealing that many dread necromancy for misguided reasons. My life had been marked by paranormal encounters—unexplained and unsettling. Rejecting unreliable mediums, I embraced necromancy as a direct, personal path. Fusing psionics and dowsing with necromantic principles, I achieved clearer communication—not flawless, but empowering. My “demons” faded as my knowledge grew.
Querying the other side, I asked my late stepfather about his well-being and the afterlife. Through dowsing, I felt his warmth and scent as the pendulum spelled “Wondrous!” We conversed for a year before the connection faded, as souls shed their personas, leaving astral shells in emotionally charged places—battlefields, shrines, or temples. My mentor noted that Asian temples hold potent residual energy, tappable by the attuned.
In Japan, I combined necromantic essence with land spirits to counter suspected weather warfare disrupting the region’s peace. Infusing necromancy with psionics, I influenced the living world—dispelling typhoons, calming quakes, and glimpsing future events. I read global minds, nudged outcomes, and dowsed hidden truths, blending ancient arts with modern tools.
